12 Vape Terms To Know Before You Start Vaping

You just started vaping. You're now curious about what the heck all the new terms are. Someone told you that if you go online, you will find a bunch of tutorials for new vapers, but you don't know what half of those words mean. Before you could enjoy your vaping experience, you need to understand some of the basics such as vape terms and how to choose a good mod etc.Here's a list of 12 vape terms to get you started.

  1. ADV/All Day Vape: An e-liquid which is ideal for vaping all day.
  2. Atomizer:  One of the key components of an e-cigarette, it converts the e-Liquid to vapor.
  3. Battery: Powers the atomizer that converts the e-liquid into vapor. Batteries can be one-time use or rechargeable.
  4. Coil : The coil is a short length of thin wire that is wrapped around the wick of an atomiser. It's the coil that heats up when the battery is activated and acts to vaporize the e-liquid in the tank.
  5. Drip Tip : A drip tip is a mouthpiece that fits onto the end of your vape tank
  6. Dry Burn :  The process of drawing on your e-cigarette when there is no e-liquid in the cartridge.
  7. DTL : Direct to lung aping refers to the style in which you pull vapour directly into your lungs.
  8. E-Juice: An alternative term for e-liquid.
  9. Leaking: This can occur when too much liquid is added to the cartridge. Liquid can leak out into the battery which causes damage.
  10. MTL : Mouth To Lung is a style of vaping in which you first pull the vapor into your mouth and then into your lungs,
  11. PG : Propylene Glycol (PG) is a much thinner tasteless liquid.  PG produces more of a “throat hit” than VG does, which simulates the feel of smoking better.
  12. VG : Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is a thick, sweet liquid.  VG produces luscious clouds of vapor.  VG also imparts a sweeter taste to your liquid.
